I know what it means to be responsible for the result

Before founding CortexLeap, I spent years managing people, budgets and day-to-day operations across the UK, Portugal and Guinea-Bissau.

I have worked in general management, area management and HR. I know the pressure of keeping a business running while trying to improve it, particularly when time is short and the team already has enough on its plate.

That experience matters when we talk about AI. I look at where work gets held up, what your team needs and whether a change is worth the cost and effort. Sometimes a small improvement to an existing process is the best place to start.

Technology only helps when people can use it

My work as an Assistive Technology Trainer and Team Coordinator has taught me to pay close attention to how people learn, where they lose confidence and what helps them move forward.

I support learners with different needs and levels of technical experience, and help other trainers develop their practice. Explaining something clearly, adapting the approach and giving people room to ask questions are part of the job.

I bring that same patience to CortexLeap. You should understand what a tool does, where its limits are and how to use it in your own work.

I build and use the technology myself

Alongside my management and training experience, I develop web applications, automation workflows and AI agents. I use these tools in my own projects, including an AI assistant that supports development and business processes.

Building and maintaining systems gives me a practical view of what happens after the first demonstration: integrations need attention, running costs matter, and people need a way to spot and correct mistakes.

I am also continuing my machine learning engineering studies through Stanford Online, adding further technical depth to my practical work with AI.

For you, that means advice grounded in both the business problem and the work involved in delivering a solution.

Why I started CortexLeap

I started CortexLeap because smaller businesses deserve thoughtful, practical help with AI.

When you are running a business, it can be difficult to find time to assess new tools, work out which claims to trust and decide where to begin. I bring the management experience to understand those pressures and the technical skills to help you act on the right opportunities.

CortexLeap is founder-led, so you work directly with me. I’m Portuguese, based in the UK, and deliver training and consulting in English and Portuguese.
